Who discovered the unique ratio present in every Fibonacci number?

Leonardo de Pise

Leonardo of Pisa, better known as Fibonacci, introduced the famous sequence of numbers that bears his name today in the West. What is less known is that this sequence was already used by Indian mathematicians for calculations related to Sanskrit prosody. Fibonacci, through his book "Liber Abaci" published in 1202, not only introduced this sequence in Europe but also revealed the "golden ratio" that appears when one divides a Fibonacci number by its immediate predecessor, tending towards 1.618. This unique ratio, a symbol of harmony and beauty, is found in nature, art, and architecture, fascinating scientists and artists through the ages.
